September 2006
Rain, monsoon like, thick mists, drizzle, but decent temperatures. The local river has had several huge floods. However, in many parts of the garden, just dig a hole and you still find dry, dusty soil. It takes a great deal of rain to restore decent levels of moisture in the soil, far more than one imagines. The spring lines are still not running and when they do, one will know that the ground water levels are back to normal. Where the soil is moist, planting continues apace.

The weather is crazy ( 21st September), warm, very warm both night and day (18 - 24°C) with high winds and when it rains, it is like a monsoon. Planting continues unabated to get rid of the 'nursery' of plant pots all around the house.
