Thrive - a national charity which uses gardening as a way to help people with all kinds of disabilities. It runs hands-on gardening weekends and road shows around the country, teaching practical skills to help people who have become disabled to continue gardening or even to take it up for the first time. It also provides advice, backed up by a quarterly magazine and a large lending library of gardening books on tape and in other formats, such as large print and Braille.
Botanical Society of the British Isles (BSBI) - even though not a 'gardening' site, this is a very important source of information on plants in the UK.

Most are collected new introductions from South East Asia and elsewhere (mail order now), are unique and cannot be obtained elsewhere.
