June 2004

Occasional showers, but unfortunately not enough to keep newly planted plants suffering from stress. The spring lines on the side have practically stopped running (14th June). Growth rate is very rapid and keeping everything in balance is a problem. Grass on the side is being cut again to stop it becoming too rank and to stop seed production. The Embothrium is still in flower, being worked vigorously by bees, and makes a wonderful combination with the Cornus kousa tree nearby.
